Intrinsically Safe Barrier Relays

Macromatic's Intrinsically Safe Barrier Relays provide a safe and reliable method to control a load (motor starters, relays, etc.) with an input devices (switches, sensors, etc.) located in a hazardous area. These products are approved for use in Class I Groups A, B, C, D, Class II Groups E, F, G, and Class III Hazardous Locations (Zones 0 & 1 in Canada).

Intrinsic Safety is based on the principle of preventing low-voltage circuits in hazardous areas from releasing enough energy to ignite hazardous gases and dusts.  In normal operation and in the event of a fault, the Intrinsically Safe Barrier protects the field circuit by preventing excess voltage and current from reaching the hazardous area.

4-CHANNEL | 60MM

ISD Series: Controls up to four loads with up to four inputs from the hazardous area.  For both DIN-Rail or Panel-Mounting.

1-CHANNEL | 17.5MM

ISE Series: Controls a single load with a single input from the hazardous area.  For both DIN-Rail or Panel-Mounting.

1-CHANNEL | PLUG-IN

ISP Series: Controls a single load with a single input from the hazardous area.  A plug-in design that can be both DIN-Rail or Panel-Mounted.
